Service Management – Limits

The «Limits» tab allows you to configure specific restrictions on the use of the WiFi service by users. Each functionality is designed to control consumption, speed, and access duration. All available options are detailed below:

Load Balancer
Allows you to select from several preconfigured load balancers if the venue has more than one Internet line. Each balancer defines how traffic is distributed among the available lines and what percentage of bandwidth is reserved for each. The balancer ensures that connections remain stable and that the service does not depend on a single line, improving quality, redundancy, and service continuity.

Priority
Allows you to assign a traffic priority level for the profile or user type. Users with higher priority receive preference in the allocation of available bandwidth, ensuring that critical services (such as hotel guests or paying customers) maintain good connection quality even during peak loads.

Download Speed
Defines the maximum speed at which a user can download data from the Internet. This helps control network saturation.

Upload Speed
Determines the maximum speed for uploading data from the user’s device to the Internet.

Maximum Devices
Defines how many devices can connect simultaneously using the same access. This is useful for preventing service overload.

Maximum Consumption (MB)
Allows you to limit the total amount of data a user can consume during a session or a defined period.

Maximum Duration
Configures the maximum duration of each user session. Once this limit is reached, the user must reconnect to continue browsing.

Courtesy Time
Defines how much extra connection time there will be after the service ends. Very useful in hotels or events, to avoid leaving a user without service if, for any reason, they exceed the time defined by the service. Additionally, the option to cut off the service at midnight could also be activated as a security measure.

Internet access type, parental controls, P2P, video streaming, etc.
These allow enabling restrictions on unwanted access. Useful in corporate networks, schools, public areas, etc.

Unused PIN Expiry
Defines the time that must elapse to delete a PIN that has been created but never activated.
